Having a high value on personal growth and transformation, Barry was attracted to trading because it is the perfect high-performance activity that demands that a person embody their best qualities consistently to succeed. In trading, one must be consistent, disciplined, patient and mindful of primitive ego. The practice of holding contradicting ideas in mind and remaining flexible is an essential skill that serves not only in trading but also in life. Ultimately, to succeed at the highest levels in a relationship with the market, Barry believes a trader must cultivate deep integrity and personal alignment. Trading is a personal mirror, and like any relationship, trading can reveal the areas of opportunity for a person to grow. There is much truth to the maxim "Trading is Life".
